The forum rules are not open for debate and can be changed at any time without prior warning. However, you are welcome to make constructive suggestions regarding the rules in the Forum Issues forum. Support The Kayako community forums are not a guaranteed support medium. Posting your questions or queries here will not guarantee you a response from a staff member. The forums are meant as a supplement to your support package. If you require dedicated product support, your primary source should be the support desk (http://support.kayako.com). Please note that the office is closed during the weekend. Bugs Please do not post bugs reports on the forum as developers do not constantly browse the forums. Please report bugs to the bug tracker. You are welcome to use the forum to ask for assistance in tracing issues and problems, however. Forum moderation These forums are moderated. They are moderated at the discretion of the Kayako Staff members and the nominated Community Moderators. Where a rule forbids the posting of any item with attached ambiguity, the forum moderators will make decisions entirely at their discretion. General Forum Rules In any part of the forum, you are not allowed to:- Register more than one account for yourself. You are allowed one account only to represent you or your business interests. You may not register more than one account regardless of how many businesses you may represent. If you are found to be using more than one, all of your accounts may be disabled.
- Post on behalf of a banned user.
Illegal content, warez and adult themes In any part of the forum, you are not allowed to:- Post anything deemed inappropriate for a general internet audience (pornography, for example).
- Post or link to anything illegal (as is, such as Warez) or post anything that is rendered illegal once posted.
- Link to any adult oriented websites or images.
Posting conduct In any part of the forum, you are allowed to:- Contribute to community discussions whilst maintaining good conduct.
- Post constructive suggestions and criticisms of Kayako's products or practices.
- Support other users in their problems, troubleshooting or questions.
- Share modifications, language packs, styles and any add-ons for Kayako's products.
- Bump threads, as long as you wait a reasonable amount of time. This is a community forum and support is not guaranteed.
In any part of the forum, you are not allowed to:- Post posts made to be intentionally rude or insulting towards another member, or perceived to be made only to disrupt the normal flow of conversation on the forum will not be allowed. Forum staff will decide what is considered to be rude or disruptive.
- Cross-post across more than one forum and/or more than one thread with the same post.
- Post source files of any Kayako product, unless small snippets for the purposes of showing a user how to modify something or for the purposes of skinning.
- Spam (post things that do not contribute to a discussion or are completely out of place in order to increase your post count).
- Link to a referral or affiliate scheme.
Signatures You cannot place anything in your signature that violates any of the forum rules. If your signature violates a general forum rule as well as a signature rule, you will be penalized with the highest number of infraction points out of the two types of rule. With regards to advertising:- You can advertise your business in your signature unless deemed inappropriate by a Kayako staff member or community moderator, at their discretion.
- Content inserted in your signature must adhere to the Advertising and the Marketplace forums rules.
In your signature, you are not allowed to:- Use more than 5 lines.
- Use more than 6 smilies.
- Use more than 2 animated smilies.
- Use more than 6 colors.
- Link to a referral or affiliate scheme.
- List any pricing or plan details.
- Trade, sell, lease or share your signature with others.
Advertising and the Marketplace forums You cannot advertise your products or services in any forum other than the Marketplace forums. You cannot directly refer someone to a certain company outside of the Marketplace. You can, however, refrer people to the Marketplace forum for this purpose. You cannot solicit services or offers to users via this forum (e-mail or private message) without their explicit prior permission (which will involve the user asking to be contacted). Kayako resellers may not be advertised (by the reseller or as a referral) in any part of the forum. Kayako are by no means responsible for any trading of item or service that takes place on the forums. Kayako are also not responsible for any custom modifications, works or code that have been published on this forum by community users. In the Marketplace forums, you can:- Request a paid or professional service in the Requests forum only.
- Advertise your services in the Offers forum only.
- Respond to service requests made by users in the Requests forum only.
In the Marketplace forums, you can not:- Advertise your pre-owned Kayako product license(s) for sale on any forum.
- Advertise your or anyone else's Kayako reseller licenses(s) on any forum.
- 'Bump' your advertisements for the sole purpose of getting your advertisement back to the top of the thread list.
- Create new threads here unless you have made at least 5 posts to other forums.
