Our BlackBerry Ticket Client for Kayako (in the same way as the official Kayako Mobile application for Windows Mobile works) allows you to synchronise a snapshot of your Help Desk's tickets onto your BlackBerry device over the air (via Carrier Data Network, BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES), BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) or Wireless (WiFi)). You can then go into any ticket you like and, if required, post a reply to that ticket, add notes, add billing entries, etc. Once you have replied to a batch of tickets, you can synchronise again and all changes will be posted to the Help Desk. Derek: I found the same problem when trying to install on the BlackBerry Bold (9000) and accessing it through the browser. I am not sure how to get it working over the air. Try to install using the Setting Up instructions using the BlackBerry Manager.
Craig, Does the application support connections to installations that require SSL? I keep getting an "Authorization failed" error message when I try to sync. Derek
Derek: I just tested SSL and it worked fine for me. Can you double check your settings? Also, what version of Kayako's core PHP software are you running (shown on the /staff/ and /admin/ login pages)?
Ah, good. Everyone: Please drop ALL suggestions for the application here and I'll see what I can do. Priority will be given to those who have purchased the application already.
Version 0.0.6 :- * Added "U" or "S" in brackets to signify a Staff or User reply. * Fixed slow scrolling of long ticket replies / initial ticket. * Date no longer shows for new replies as this is defined by the server. I have also added an over the air install.
Since you have over-the-air install working that brings up a feature request... I would like to see it automatically check for available upgrades whenever you run the program and if one is available install it or at the least let you know that a upgrade is available so you can go download/install it...
Already planned. I plan to copy the majority of remaining functionality from the official WM client which we have already started doing.
Craig, I've tried re-entering my details many times and I'm still getting an authorization failed error. My site is SSL. Is there a minimum version of Kayako that we need? Is there some other feature that we should own already? We don't have the WM add-on and we are a version or two behind, v.3.20.02. Should that matter? Thanks, -Eric
One other question to add... should I just point the setup to /support/ or does it need to go to /support/staff/ or something else? -Eric
Just /support/. I think your Kayako version is the issue here. Can you create me a test staff account on your server please and PM me the details? I will see what I can do to fix it.
Thought I would share what I have just sent to the developer for inclusion in the next version. Estimated time is 2 weeks for next release.
