Custom code to create a new ticket from user's profile

    Hi Folks,

    I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for building a link or shortcut that would create a new ticket for a user from the user profile page.

    The idea would be to have a link (or button) in the user profile page (or above or to the left, etc.) that when clicked would open a new ticket template with the user ID from the user profile already filled in.

    Any thoughts or recommendations?

    Hi Todd,

    This is doable, but it would require edits to the base code, or using an application integration. This is actually a feature we added within our next major create, from a users profile, there is an option to create a ticket.

    Hi Gary,

    Thank you for the feedback. Do you have any insight into when the release with this feature might be available? If it's still a while out, and the base code modifications are not too extensive, I would certainly be willing/interested to update our current installation as it will really help our support team increase their ticket throughput.
