    I need help~
Can you please help me finding how I can translate the Control Panel?
and Make it Selectable by the "Staff" user?

and/or Set Default Language per "Staff" user login?
so when they login to Manage Ticket, it'll automtically load
their Default Language in "Control Panel"?

    Thank you!
    WILL

    Hi Will,

Are you using On Demand or Self hosted?

To use alternate languages for the staff CP, you need to upload a language translation pack into the __swift\locale folder. Once that is done, before staff login, at the login box, it will give them a language selection box.

What language were you looking for?

I don't think there is a Korean translation for the staff CP that I have seen, so you might have to create your own.

To help you get started, I have created a Korean pack for you ( but it still has all the English translations )

unpack the Ko folder into the __swift\locales directory.

Then with the ko folder, edit the files, and add in your translations.

    Thank you so much Gary!

I have unzipped, and found "PHP" files for the Staff CP.
Must these files be translated off the Server? or can this be Translated within the Amdin CP like Support Center Language?

    And, regarding your message....
"Then with the ko folder, edit the files, and add in your translations."
after I do the translation, how do I add in to, where..?

    Hi Will,

Those php files contain the translations, you will need to edit them before uploading them to the web server ( there is no way to edit them within the admin CP )

When I say add in, what I mean is "replace the English words with the Korean version"

e.g. if the file has this:

    'tabpostindex' => 'Rebuild Search Index',

The text your altering is "Rebuild Search Index" with the Korean equivalent

Once you upload the ko folder to the __swift\locale folder, if you then goto the staff CP login page, and chose the "more options" link, you will see you have Korean as a language choice in the drop down.

I tried translating one file "dashboard.php" file and uploaded to the server,
and tried Logging in, and I got this message.
I checked Line43, it looks perfectly fine, it's only in Korean Language. "Assigned to me"
What should i do fo thix this error?

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ''dashmytickets'' (T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING), expecting ')' in /home/helpteam/public_html/__swift/locale/ko/dashboard.phpon line 43

Do you have Korean Language installed in the admin CP?

You need the language installed in the admin CP ( I attached an English version, coded for Korean iso code which you can translate, and then import into the admin CP )

Also, I am not sure Korean will display correctly unless your browser is set to the correct encoding ( e.g. if your Browser is set in English or Unicode, it might still display wrong )

    Gary

update, I also attached an image from my colleague which shows the language display when the browser encoding is set to Korean

my Browser language setting is configured to show Korean Language correct, as I always browse in Korean language.

By the way, I have uploaded Korean Language file in Admin=>Languages=>Import/Export=>Import
but now it still shows "Korean Language" broken, please see attached.
