Kayako Desktop BETA available for testing

    Hi everyone, we have made a few more tweaks and fixes since, and we'd like to share a new beta for testing.

    This version includes a few stability and compatibility fixes:
    • Fixed: Occasional freeze when closing a chat window
    • Fixed: DPI-awareness caused display problems on high-DPI displays
    • Fixed: Chat view renders better in more scenarios (for example text selection was not working sometimes)
    • Fixed: Saved chats now render properly in web browsers
    • Fixed: Uninstaller now properly removes entry from control panel

    All appears to be working fine now on ultrabook/tablet HD screen (2560x1440) including toolbar icons and Settings forms.

    Mouse-over tool tips on functions such a Insert Category, Filter Replies, or Edit a Macro are fairly large, but this does not cause any operational issues.

    The following issue has been present in prior versions and isn't crucial, but here are the repro steps.
    1. Run KD.
    2. Maximize the window on the desktop.
    3. Locate a ticket with an attachment.
    4. Open the attachment.
    5. Window reverts to original size.

    Any chance that the Kayako Desktop ribbon could get some love with a simple minimize toggle button? Or, when a chat window is dragged out of Kayako Desktop, that the main application can be minimized whilst the chat remains open?

    The love I'd like to see is tabs expanded at bottom of chat so when a chat is active you see Chat, Information, Footprints, Chat History, Ticket History.
    Selecting a history tab would display contents of the last chat or ticket or list of chats or tickets in order of most recent which you can click on to view contents.

    We have been running for a couple weeks now and randomly for several agents we will hear alerts for new chats coming in, but they do not show up in the queue list. Also still getting crashes, but not as many as before.

    To update, most of the crashes happen when clicking on another chat tab. This has happened with as little as 2 chats going, but most happen with 5-6 chats open. Crashing can be as frequent as every 30 minutes. We use open queue method.
