Updating Custom Field cache

We are trying to keep dropdown values in sync with another system and we are directly updating the swcustomfieldoptions table with the new values. They appear on the admin page for the field but do not show on the tickets when selecting the dropdown. If we hit the 'update' button without any changes on the admin page for the field it fixes it.

I am assuming there is a cache that is being clear when that happens or links I am unaware of being set. Can anybody help with that?

I see the swcustomfieldoptionlinks table, but that has no data in it.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!
